"Old Mr. Cornelius the War Veteran splutters and clutches his chest.
Cyrus hoots, slops the diaper atop his head and runs from the room, Angry Bob in close pursuit: shit-speckled loafers sliding across the shit-covered carpet.
A happy fly tracks shit-coloured footprints across the red, white and blue bunting pinned to the shit-covered walls. The fly surveys the shit-laden banquet spread out before him, winks at Cyrus and runs his hands with glee. 'Attaboy, kid! Keep up the good work!'"

15) In The Northland by Tom Thomson (1915) When I was younger, Lawren Harris was my favourite of the Group of Seven painters because I saw him as the most experimental. But now that I’m older, I find I can appreciate Tom Thomson’s work on a whole other level.

A grove of trees with pale trunks and golden autumn leaves line the shore of a lake. Thomson drowned in 1917, only two years after painting this.
