The last song of the night was another one of my favorites from Swords, “Straitjacket”.
And here is Nick’s musical olive branch to Steven Spielberg regarding the latter’s attempt to ignore the fact that Nick has already made a Gremlins 3.
We also got some songs from the album Swords! This is the band performing one of my favorites, “Sick”.
Nick wrote and performed new theme music for The Onion’s InfoWars, which included the failed pitch for a mascot called the InfoWars Elf. Some of us would like this delightfully deranged little guy to be the mascot anyway, hence the #FreeTheElf tag/chant. (there’s already a shirt on The Onion’s site)

This is me in the middle of March 2025. They are a few weeks away from the worst year of their life and don’t know it, but for what it’s worth, they make it. Their hair isn’t this long anymore, though.
I am Obsessed with this 90s-VHS-cover-looking poster and can’t believe it’s real. (it is, confirmed and posted by Universal) I love it and want a copy.
I am disappointed to hear that the writers did not plan on Starfleet Academy season 2 being the last season. If they do get seasons 3 and 4, I will be shocked. Not because of the show itself (haven’t yet seen), but because I don’t see this creative team surviving the current leadership at Paramount.
Another recent vinyl listen: The Guest II. This is one of my most beloved albums in my collection. It is a “soundtrack” for the currently-nonexistent sequel to one of my favorite movies, The Guest. This is the track “Love, Extended” by Majeure. The gorgeous cover art is by Dave Merrell.
The horrors persist but on Sunday morning I revisited the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures with a couple friends who hadn’t been, and got to see the Jaws exhibit. So that was nice :)
