Amid troubling times, at least it's a relief to see that my city has just about held off the rise of the far right. Where Gateshead, South Tyneside & Sunderland have massively gone to the dark side, here in Newcastle, & indeed North Tyneside, we seem to have survived with a more sensible majority.

Ok folks, I'm feeling like I should get to know you fine folk here in the new world. So how about posting what football book you're reading, or last read? For me, it's Jonathan Wilson's "Two Brothers". It's a superb and engaging read on those two contrasting sobs of Ashington.
