We call it ”transphobia” because it’s IRRATIONAL.

”Dolphin infested waters” by yours truly…

As she giggled, I didn’t know if I was supposed to get offended or not. I just knew I needed to get out of the water really soon. “I couldn’t drown if I tried.” she said. And then the most remarkable thing happened. She seemed to arch forward a little and swam harder with her arms and just like that, I was standing on something. Something fairly wide, steady but soft. I looked down. I was standing on a large fishtail. Her fishtail. The scales were silvery blue with hints at green and specks of pink, a bluer hue of iridescent, so to speak. The fin was a pale blue and large, looking as soft as silk, with long whiskers along the sides. My brain refused to cooperate at first. Then I found my voice. And of course, I said the dumbest, most obvious thing, as humans tend to do. “You… you’re a mermaid?” She just nodded and giggled. And then she swam me to shore. Don’t look at me like that. I haven’t even begun to tell you the proper story yet.

He drains his coffee mug and refills it from the pot. -You said yesterday you’ve dreamed. Why didn’t you say so before? -Didn’t think you knew anything about vampires. I mutter defensively. He shrugs his shoulders. -More than I did yesterday. I did some research today. For purely egoistic reasons so don’t worry. I hate it when I encounter shit I know nothing about. I wait. He gives me a strict look and his voice take on a lecturing note. -Vampires are close to the realm of the dead, since they’re technically dead. Do you follow me? -Mf. I feel a little affronted as per usual to almost being called a zombie but fine. He’s not lying, really. The Sinner continues. -As the wandering dead closes up on the realm of the dead anew, Morpheus,

the god of dreams, usually sends them a greeting from the underworld. -Stop, stop. Who? What? He takes a new sip of coffee and waves an index finger at me. -Forget it, I don’t have time for the long lecture. You’ll have to take it for what it is. Annoyed as hell I nod, clenching my teeth. -Go on, then. -Morpheus’s kingdom lies between death and life. When a vampire draws near death, Morpheus opens two windows to his kingdom. One to the land of the living and one to the land of the dead. And thus he lets the vampire gaze though the windows: life- dream- death. I swallow a hundred and fifty questions of what-the-hell and how-the-hell. -Why? -Who knows? There are theories that he wants to welcome them, warn them or is just gloating. -What religion is this? How did you- -I said no. I’ve got run.
