Round three of “BlueMonday” being released and the second time it was remixed as a single. Did we need this? Silly question.

It took me more than two decades of record hunting to find this 12 inch that was never released here in the U.S. I was lucky enough to snag the UK CD single early on and this has all the versions on the CD minus the 7 inch but I could not resist owning one of my favorite songs remixed to perfection.

The band photo is monochromatic while the only solid color portion is their name. The photo background looks to be a wall patterned in a marble-like fashion. Photo of 3 New Order “True Faith” 45s I own, 2 overlapped on a wooden floor. My left hand is holding the Back To Back Hits version in the foreground. I paid a total of $5 at the most for all of these. I’m not joking. The 2 with the cover art sleeves: $2 for the domestic, $1 for the promo. This was pre-whatever the hell is going on now with records being more expensive than CDs.

I remember cutting class in college to buy this in 1991. I saw record stores getting rid of records and it scared me. I’d drive up to the main road to class and think “Go to class? Buy records?” I didn’t know much about Joy back then, but something inside me said to get this record before it’s gone.

Acid House was a craze and I loved it. Here’s my 12-inch copy that I found thanks to my friend saying, “The Funky Worm?” while we were browsing through stuff in a record store back in ‘88. My response: “The Funky Worm?! OMG!!!!!!” Got it.

Hustling to music since 1988. This record Rocks! I knew it from Club MTV playing it and was on a hunt for the single. I found the 12-inch first in ‘88 then came across this used copy many years later. Both were I-have-to-get-this purchases. So freaking good!

Okay, you guys are really doing your homework. S’Express Rocks! Here’s my 12-inch copy of the single. I let a friend of mine borrow their debut album that I only had on cassette at the time during college (probably 1989) and she loved it, especially this song. The song is phenomenal! It is superfly!

Here’s my copy. I was finding it tough to justify buying 2 album versions I already had in ’90 on CD. “More” is on the flipside. That is until I was out at a store in Allentown, PA and heard these Latin guys see it and 1 of them started singing the song. I HAD to buy it after that and did. Worth it!

Well said and thanks for staying grounded and real. You are actually a huge part of my everyday life because I bought and own a yoga mat literally with your name on it. Got it and here’s my copy of the double 12-inch single. I remember getting it the earliest it came out from a record store that is long gone. It was the first new Madonna maxi-single from the U.S. I bought that didn’t come in shrink wrap. I was used to imports without wrap but not domestic singles.

Nice! Here’s something from “A long time ago….” It’s my illustration of C-3PO which came out looking very 3-D like which I’m cool with.

“Sand gets everywhere.…”

The underside of the Falcon is shown rooming away in the hot sky, leaving a vapor trail behind. The twin suns are beeping down on Boba. Sands are falling from his body as he’s flexing his muscles in anger. I completed the original illustration on November 25, 2015 but completely revamped and re-envisioned it June 10, 2026. I used a Deluxe Boba Fett action figure from The Power Of The Force (II) series as a model and inspiration for this illustration. My signature is in cursive across Boba’s belly, “Alec A. Sarkas.”

I used a Star Wars Retro Collection mini-action figure from The Mandalorian TV series as a model for the pencil drawing back in 2021 (not shown) which I used as a base template and the illustration (here) has been updated on May 18, 2026 since 2021. I also looked at the photo on the figure’s cardback as a guide for detailed features. I rewatched my Blu-ray copy of the series to observe how Gideon looks in addition. I kept this simple, like an animated cartoon with bold lines and edges. Moff has a sphinx-like expression with hair that seems pulled back and a mustache. He has wrinkles on his face. His uniform is menacing and dark and what looks like a cape behind him. My signature is at the bottom written in cursive across the Moff’s chest. The background is plain, hot and reflected onto Moff Gideon. This character is in the image of the actor who portrays him in The Mandalorian, Giancarlo Esposito.

Her hair is worn longer on her right and drops down on her face past her chin, shorter on the left side of her head. It's pulled back on the left side in a braid which is partially in view as well as some of her ear. Her outfit looks very much like that of an American football player and there are solid parts worn as armor. Her shoulder pads and chest plate are partially in view. The background is plain and cold, reflected onto her sides, face and hair. A Rebellion symbol is tattooed on her left cheek below her eye. She looks tough and pretty. I used bold lines and made this character look more like a TV cartoon character. I used a Star Wars: The Vintage Collection mini-action figure from The Mandalorian TV series as a model for the pencil drawing (not shown). I also used the cardback of the figure for reference and re-watched the first season series on Blu-ray to see how the character moves and carries herself to complete the vector artwork. My signature appears along the bottom of the graphic, above the chest plate in cursive. I originally completed a version of this illustration on July 23, 2021. I salvaged the majority of the vector art from it but redid most all of this illustration on May 20, 2026 with a slight revision/update May 21, 2026.

I did the original pencil sketch on May 6, 2021 of Mando along with the vector artwork the day after that. I completely revamped that illustration on May 24, 2026. My signature is in cursive across Mando’s chest (centered), “Alec A. Sarkas.”

This image of Han Solo is in the image of the actor Alden Ehrenreich as seen in the movie ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story.’ I re-watched my copy of the movie on Blu-ray Disc for visual cues to how his character should look. I also listened to the soundtrack for inspiration. I made this character look somewhat cartoon-like with bold lines, minimum details. My signature is in cursive across Solo’s chest (centered), “Alec A. Sarkas.”

My vector illustration of Kylo Ren's light saber which is like three sabers in one: the main saber emits light energy from the saber itself and two hilts on the side do the same but are shorter. I signed this in cursive on the bottom, Alec A. Sarkas.

Whoever reads this and for the love of humanity, please stop using artificial intelligence. Feed an artist, not a beast. I started focusing on making my own illustrations for many reasons about 6 years ago and one was the concern about what AI would do to the art world and artists like myself. >>ALT

I originally made this illustration at the beginning of May 2020. It's a Scout Trooper from Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi. I modified it a bit and added my signature today specifically for my Bluesky social account. I want to show (here) the illustration I was thinking of when referencing what I'm talking about. I made a pencil sketch (not shown) of a Scout Trooper in one of my sketch books on May 1, 2020. I used a Big-Figs toy of a Scout Trooper (that I own) as my model. I scanned that sketch of mine and used it as a template to create the vector artwork in Adobe Illustrator CS. I own a copy of the application. I bought it with my own hard-earned money and make good use of it on my PowerMac G4. Again, I bought that Mac with my own money. The pencil sketch is small and light, but I knew I had something I could turn into a good vector illustration and that I did. The Scout Trooper has his helmet on and is facing to his right side. So, there's a three-quarters view of his helmet which has a builtin visor and goggles. His uniformed body is facing us. His armor is smooth and his under armor of a lighter material that's made to move. There's some sort of apparatus at the front of his mouth on his helmet which might help him to breath and communicate with others. My signature is in cursive on top of his chest plate and at the bottom of the graphic. I used this illustration for a number of projects; one of them being a RetroButtonPin I made and sold on my Etsy store. This illustration might be digital but it also lives on outside of that realm on paper. Thank you if you made it this far in my description! I know there might not be a soul who reads this but there's self satisfaction in expressing what I feel. I must stress how incredibly dangerous AI has been, gotten and will continue to be. It's not only taking away jobs and artist's livelihood but it's also the cause of death for innocent people who have died by suicide using AI chat applications. Please DO NOT use AI! ty
