The promised child has arrived! Our very first watermelon. Now we just need to pray that she actually makes it to maturity! 🍉 #gardening
Discovered a tiny red poppy growing along the edge of the briars behind our house this morning. I love poppies, so I hope more pop up! 💐
We found a fluffle of fresh baby bunnies in the seed mat we’ve been slowly removing from beneath our deck! Guess it’ll have to stay there a while longer now. 😂
Six ounces of fresh black raspberries from the brambles and briars behind our house! 😋
Instagram keeps pushing this ad at me, and it’s super annoying since it’s promoting an app to make video captions more aesthetically engaging. As a reminder, captions and subtitles are for accessibility. They shouldn’t be overly designed or animated because it can make them harder to read.
I don’t watch the Wheel of Fortune very consistently, but my mother has caught every episode since before I was born. This is the first time in my life that I’ve managed to witness all three contestants MATCHING their positions around the wheel, and it made me absurdly happy. 😅
Sometimes my intrusive thoughts make me consider shutting down Accessible Social. The site takes a lot for me to maintain. So when I get emails like this, it really reaffirms why I created the site and the impact it's had. They keep me going, and I make sure to save them for hard days. 🥹
It's terrible. These are two standard pictures we would post for the college I work for. And then the alt text that Facebook auto-generated for them.
Happy anniversary to the best couple I know, my parents! Married for 36 years today. And if you ask them why they got married on Valentine’s Day, they’ll both tell you the same thing: it was an easy date to remember. 💘
This is what I think of every time I see Greg Bovino now.
The sky over northern Illinois is fantastic tonight. 😍
“Alex, what are you most excited about in the new house? Oh, your closet? Is that because you’ll have more space to store your clothes?” Yeah, sure, storage for my clothes. 💅
No Northern Lights for me tonight, but I did get this cool long exposure shot of the night sky that was briefly interrupted by a plane. First time I’ve ever tried to photograph the stars, too! ✈️
She is officially done and we cannot wait to move in next week!
IT FINALLY HAPPENED. I saw the Northern Lights. Breathtaking experience.
Well, it’s a year later and I have more hair than I know what to do with most days (by my standards)! Thanks to a combination of adjusting my meds, wearing a silk bonnet to bed, and changing some of the products I use in my hair, it’s stronger, shinier, and just a smidge out of control sometimes. 😂
Got a crispy new lens for my camera, and look how good it made my girl look!
It's #SPCDay, a day where St. Petersburg College reflects on its history, celebrates with the current Titan community, and prepares for the future by raising funds for important initiatives and programs! Help us meet this year's goal and support student success by donating at stpe.co/spcday. 💙
There is something incredibly pure when children play with bubbles. It feels like the epitome of innocent joy. 🫧
Okay, I totally get the hype around @thesavbananas.bsky.social. Every moment of the game was entertaining as heck, and hardly anyone left, even after an 80-minute rain delay. Really loved seeing Chicago White Sox greats Ozzie Guillén and Paul Konerko at Comiskey again too!
This sassy gremlin has been tolerating me for eight years now. I love you, Serif. 🖤
Love a fresh haircut, especially with how overgrown and chaotic my hair was before. Looking sharp again!
The birthday girls. I turned 34 today, and Serifina turned 8. Can you tell how much she didn't want to take this picture? 😅🎉😹
