One volume of Braudel down! 📖🎉 Pleasantly surprised to see such an extensive focus on China (albeit relying on 17th- and 18th-century European sources, and with no citation of Needham?!) A little dated but the ideas of "material civilisation" and the longue durée remain so enduringly resonant
