Tender Beasts by Liselle Sambury: Tbh I just got this bc the cover looked cool but it was a real page turner. A murder mystery that also delves into subjects like code switching and generational trauma. The ending didn't feel right at first, but when i looked at it from a metaphorical perspective-

Super Mario Bros. Wonder: It was very fun! It's been years since I played a mario game that wasn't kart or party. It feels like comfort food. Like when you're a kid with an unexpected free day so you just warm up mac n cheese. Very healing for inner child. Even got all the wonder seeds.

Hero Lord and Demon Girl Call it Quits: Cute slice of life. Reminds me of many slice of life strips and comics I'll see on instagram. Very sweet. I liked the style of comedy. I wonder if the author will stick with comedy or move more into action fantasy in their next project. It feels like there was

Mage Next Door: I thought it was fun. Dissapointed to see that it got cancelled and didn't pick up steam. The idea of absurdly mundane magic being used for fun fights was cool. Hope the author is able to stick the landing on their next project.

28 Years Later the Bone Temple: In the year 2026, we still somehow make good (technically not) zombie movies. The first film was very much an introspective coming of age story, while this brings in the horror of other people. The fire scene. No words 10/10. Really hope the third one gets made

Sicario: I went into this expecting an action movie in the vein of olympus has fallen or rambo. I knew very little about it. It was haunting. It's been a while since a movie has actually made me gasp. Roger Deatkins cinematography helps draw your eyes so well. It just works very well. Good stuff.

Final Fantasy Tactics: Very good. The story of this wide eyed hero having his naive optimism being shattered by the horrors of war is always fun to see. Ramza is a great character. Going in with the mindset that this released in the 90s helps me understand why this is so acclaimed. It was fun to-
