The young lad and I began messing around with Sand: Raiders of Sophie, primarily just for the modular design aspect. Not generally a steampunk guy, but there's something to these lumbering things, and the tension of spotting other players' plumes upon the horizon. Let's see if it has, ahem, legs.

Promo for WiZ Co., Ltd's starship strategy-RPG, Aubirdforce, released in 1996 for PS1. Big LotGH energy, with an emphasis on utilising a three dimensional battlespace. A sequel would arrive in 1998, Aubirdforce After, with neither seeing localisation outside of Japan.
Awesome. Do you recall the gold Topps line of trading cards? A more elegant time. Loved collecting that series, with all the juicy production tidbits and concept art.
