The City of Minneapolis keeps making progress in transforming our streets. Each year of work makes them more accessible, walkable, bikeable, and safe for all users. Last week's "Your City Your Streets" annual report totaled up the achievements from 2025: lims.minneapolismn.gov/Download/RCA...

Some recent photos of the under-construction Franklin Avenue that show how Minneapolis and partners (Hennepin County in this case!) work to preserve mature trees in design and construction, without compromising the transportation function of future road.
Nope. It's extremely recent and (as far as I can't tell) totally independent of any actual event or a specific advocacy campaign by a recognized group.

Victoria's bike corral (as seen on @ohtheurbanity.bsky.social) is a fantastic piece of infrastructure. Low cost but super visible and helpful. And a big thank you to the City staff who took time out of their day to talk about this and all the other great stuff they are doing here.
Extremely impressive stuff happening here with bike infra. Key routes through downtown have been protected and there's a lot of noticeable attention to design detail. All of it being very well used.

As a reward at the end of the week, the City of Minneapolis will be celebrating Bike-to-Work Day from 7-9am on Government Center Plaza. Coffee and donuts while supplies last, and we'll have a short program of elected leaders starting at 8:15 and talking about what bike commuting means to our city!
