Loud about women’s sport 🖤💛🌈 “F*cking awesome!” - Linda Munn “Totally rocks!” - John Campbell Host of award winning podcast Co-host of the only women’s rugby podcast in the Southern Hemisphere, Full Credit
Started my week with an epic campaign launch and ended it with a crew of new volunteers learning how getting out to talk to voters for the first time. With a little bit of merch switching and a viral parliamentary speech in between. A good week.
Last night, Women in Sport Aotearoa, alongside InsideOut and the Clare Foundation launched a new toolkit for community sports providers to support the participation of transgender and nonbinary people in sport. Filling the gap created by the deletion of the previous guidance by the Minister of Sport
I don’t believe I have ever seen the Blues do a haka before and WOW, what a statement. They have got this.
Heart says Matatū, head says Blues 12 and under. As I wrote yesterday ⬇️
Ahead of today’s Super Rugby Aupiki final, final word goes to our captains. Grace Brooker of Matatū and Maiakawanakaulani Roos for the Blues. If you’re in Christchurch, GET THERE! It’s gonna be the icing of on the cake of this epic season.
The Poua invited me on the field to sing the victory chant I wrote the team 🥹
This week’s pod is up and it’s full of me loving on my team like this:
BACK TO BACK WINS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER AND UP OVER THE BLLLLLLUUUUUUEEEESSSSSS
Why do I love women’s rugby? Because one of the Chiefs Manawa players sent me this photo from their team file of us celebrating our team beating them.
Our team is breaking records. The growth in our numbers is off the charts but more importantly is the growth in our people. Walking a little taller after getting connected to community. The world needs more hope, it’s the most beautiful gift we can give to each other.
Always handy when you’re mates with photographers and they make you look your best. Everyone say thanks Naomi Madeiros.
I am sorry for the rot that seeks to hold back joy. That what should be moments of pride get tarred with these ‘poo crumbles’. I’m yet to enjoy but my Mum and stepdad did the hike on the weekend and loved it. Here’s some of what they shared in our family chat.
My submission if it helps give inspiration for yours. You have until 2 July, follow the link below. www3.parliament.nz/en/pb/sc/mak...
Watching Marlon Williams play gives me the same feeling I had when Ruby Tui lead us in Tutira Mai post World Cup win. Like I’m getting little glimpses of what our country could be.
And if you read all that, here’s a picture of him and me being as he would call it, silly wee berks.
Whatever happens this weekend, this season is already legendary for the Wellington Phoenix.
White wasn’t right. So went with the same green as I had before on the new cupboard ends.
Today, one of my rugby mums made history as Erin Rush became the first women to be elected as the President of New Zealand Rugby. She will hold this position for two years and want to continue to hold her connection throughout it with the community she serves.
One of the revelations of the dishwasher installation is just how shiny it makes everything.
