Not really almighty. It’s just a family name.
She wrote “Jolene”, absolutely killed in Nine-to-Five, and gave two of my kids free books for us to read to them as small children. Thank you. The world is smarter and kinder because she lived.
My doctor’s office just using up all the buttons like they grow on trees. Tsk.
Spotify is evil. And also, my 2010 Spellingbee album “Porcupine” is there, as of today. If you like Beatlesque indie bedroom pop, you might enjoy it. Thanks to the Head Mensch at Agua de Sed Records for putting it there. #SpellingBee
When asked during oral arguments if Native Americans are born citizens of the United State, the Solicitor General could not even answer. Europeans came and colonized, and now they’re not even certain if they want Natives as citizens. Don’t expect me to celebrate.
El Tiradito Shrine, Tucson, AZ. Said to be the only shrine in the world dedicated to a sinner buried in unconsecrated ground. For over 100 years, supplicants have been rolling up prayers in paper and stuffing them between the bricks, or etching them on the walls. Yankees in 26?
Are you telling me that crabs took wok in hand and stuffed this calamari?
Maybe let’s not have terrified looking hinges at the dentist’s office?
The kittens have learned to climb out of their basket. Heaven help us.
It’s a migraine day. I have so much work to do, but right now sitting in a cool dark office is about all I can muster.
Kolob Canyon, UT would be a National Park if it weren’t already surrounded by other National Park. The night we were there we saw zero hikers and maybe four other cars. It’s like Zion and Bryce Canyon for people who don’t go the parks for the traffic and crowds.
A great thing about coffee is that you are fine just sitting and drinking it, by itself. Go into a restaurant and sit there with a Sprite for 30 minutes and see what happens.
Kolob Canyon, UT. (Ko-lahb.) What does it mean? Oh, it’s just the star nearest to the planet where God and his wives and their billions of spirit babies dwell, in Mormon theology. Nothing weird about that.
Vegas is yucky. But I found two of my favorite Neil Young albums and some great “Original Flavor” Japanese soda.
Mountain Meadows Massacre Site. It’s startling how unremarkable this little valley is, aside from hosting unimaginable violence for a few days.
