Point 4: is this the same as the attentional blink? No. Actually - there's abseloutly no correlation between a person's susceptibility to the attentional blink and a person's distractor intrusion rate. 6/

Point 3: The answer is: yes! People's scores are highly variable and highly reliable. Measuring the same people twice, whether a week apart, or even A YEAR apart, results in a correlation of r=.90. And here's a nice thing: you get reliable results within 50 trials! (i.e., a 5-minutes session) 5/

Point 2: RSVP research has showed that experimentally, delayed attentional engagement = more "post-target intrusions" - reporting a distractor that follows the target instead of the target. So perhaps a person's "intrusion rate" can be used to measure individual differences. But is it reliable? 4/
