No we specifically adopted Opie to be Wybie's understudy. Wybie was losing his battle with pancreatic cancer. We were fostering Jax the chugweenie & rescue had some troubles and only one person ever came to see him, by then Wybie had adopted him & it felt like he was just our dog so we kept him.
Pupdate on Opie Cunningham. 24 weeks old and we've had him for 16 weeks. In those 16 weeks he's gone from 2.5 pounds and able to be held in one hand to 15.2 pounds and not even looking like the same dog.

Bought a new pair of Redwing boots today and made friends with the young guys that work at the Redwing shop based on my T-shirt.

He doesnt even look like the same dog. He was pretty sick when we got him home but also his daddy was a 5 pound chihuahua and his mommy was a 35 pound heeler mix so we have no ideas how he's going to turn out.
Opie update. New 4 week photo, he's still growing like a weed. He's gone from 2.5 pounds when we got him a 8 weeks old to 11.5 pounds now at 20 weeks old. He's turning into a really good puppy.
My baby boy Opie Cunningham had his first trip to the dog park today. We hit a couple of rough patches but the mission was mostly a success.
