Brunch place near us has a very limited summer dinner service and we finally went last night. Absolutely amazing!
Weed or plant that just recently came back to life? Garden experts help!
Coming back from vacation is hard- so we booked a nice dinner at Playa Provisions!
Haven’t had a chance to edit the Scotland photos yet- so here’s a pre-trip Sushi Nikkei dinner!
Brought my 3D ViewMaster out of storage to join the SciFi nook of the house. Anyone still have theirs? Anyone under 40 even know what one is?
Calling all plant people! Anyone know what kind of lemon tree this is? Prior owners didn’t know. I was thinking Meyer but am not sure. Lemons are VERY juicy and too big for my lemon/lime squeeze thing I use for supermarket lemons.
Put together a little gym in my garage and did my first row at the new home!
First “nicer” meal out since we opened escrow. Two weeks into home ownership and it has been a lot of adulting. But the boxes are dwindling and soon we’ll actually be able to enjoy our new space.
It took us 7 years to buy a house. In 2019 I first started talking to Danny Simard about our desire to buy a house. We had more in depth conversations during the pandemic but we didn't really start looking until about 2 years ago when I moved back to working at a larger firm. 1/5
Pics from our Mother’s Day trip to the Broad! I’ve been wanting to go to the Infinity Mirrored Room for years- it did not disappoint. A bizarre combination of claustrophobia (the space is tiny) yet a feeling of floating in space with no boundaries.
Wage and hour is probably the least “sexy" work that I do. But in California, this is where we really see a lot of employers getting in trouble. And wage and hour work encompasses a wide range of issues. 1/7
One of the important things I've learned in my 18+ years of practicing law is that you can't be afraid of going off script, but going off script effectively requires you to actually listen to what is being said. What do I mean by this? 1/5 #norestforthelitigator #trialattorney
It’s hard to see but there’s actually a big owl nest in that large cactus.
Some more photos from my first Partnership Retreat at my new firm that I haven’t had time to post for like a month. I chose to do horseback riding as my activity and got to ride the lovely Frank.
Yesterday I gave an HR & Employment Law Update presentation for the Orange County chapter of CFMA. 1/4
Not to mention I got to catch up on some "work" reading, pet an owl, ride a horse, and get a personalized cowboy hat (my first one ever)! 2/3
Anyone know any associate attorneys that would like to work with me? (Remote or hybrid.) And although the bulk of our work is employment focused- no employment law experience is required if you’ve got good litigation chops and a willingness to learn. P.S. The firm swag game is strong.
Join me on April 16th for an HR & Employment Law Update focused on the Californian construction industry. This lunch and learn is hosted by the CFMA Orange County Chapter and is open to both members and nonmembers. Register here: orangecounty.cfma.org/events/detai...
