In an unexpected turn of events, the cat I bought the thing for is using it for its intended purpose. It's Puma and Cheeto's birthday this month so I got a window seat for them - Cheeto always tries to sleep in the sil but the lip makes it impossible. Now he can - and is!

I am in the "trust the process" part of the knit. It's a wall hanging for craftsmas. I'll post finished pictures when its done but its amazing! From a 70s book of sweaters called Beastly Knits.

Pancake update: her 1 year birthday is next week. I bought her and her brothers an 81" tall pink cat tower, and they all love it. Her diet is working (finally) and she's obsessed with my cool summer sheets.

I made red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting today just because and they're pretty ok, not gunna lie.

It doesn't look like much but I spent 4 hours in the garden today building arches, dividing the space, pulling up 6 feet of roots, adding a deer fence (fishing line), and planting some of the first crops. Potatoes, lettuce, nasturtium, and Beets.

Pancake Update: this is apparently the pinnacle of sleeping positions. She's getting browner every day, and is getting close to 1 year old. She won't get any larger. Can't believe I found this goblin in the back yard.

Also Puma is totally fine with eating in the closet (I reorganized and bought shelves so there was a specific place for them and their dishes), but Cheeto is unsure. For now he eats in the open doorway. Training them to use the cat door is going to be a (possibly months) long chore.

Pancake Update: she's been stealing her brothers' food for months and is now on a diet and meal times are supervised, which means no food just left out for snacks. The boys are not happy but are dealing with it pretty well, tho they all wake me up at 530 every day now. 🫠

I am so grateful for this little chaos gremlin. Even when things are dark and scary she brings joy and reminds me to be present.

My current #knitting work in progress #wip - finally found a use for my favorite yarn by #tsukimountain... Working in rows for a sweater is torture tho. Glad to finally be knitting in the round 😅

Please ignore my laundry and the general chaos but I finished #knitting my third sweater today! It's the #badideablouse done in #knitpicks aloft mohair. It's currently blocking and I'm super jazzed to wear it this spring! And I'm now addicted to sweaters so that's fun!

Pancake Update : grandpa got her (and her brothers) an exercise wheel for Christmas. We're working on training and I think she's going to be using it by the end of the week. She also has figured out how to steal her brothers' food, hence the wheel 🤣

It's 9F outside with 50mph gusts and snow flurries. But inside I have 3 kitties, my knitting, and XFiles.
