Valley weather alert! A Flood Watch will be in effect Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning. Widespread monsoon storms could produce 2-3" of rain per hour leading to flooded washes and roads. Thursday will be an ABC15 Weather Action Day. Get ready!

DROUGHT UPDATE: 87% of Arizona is now in drought heading into our driest months of the year (May & June). There are signs we could see a wet monsoon season, so we could see some improvement by August. Our fall and winter months may be wetter too as El Niño kicks in. #abc15wx
The Jones Fire near Wickenburg is shutting down the US 60 between Wickenburg and Morristown in both directions. This fire started around noon and has already grown to 100 acres forcing evacuations in the Wickenburg area. We have live updates from the area on ABC15 at 5 & 6 pm.

The City of Phoenix announced today that a Stage 2 Water Warning may be needed by the end of the year as drought conditions and water supply levels along the Colorado River get worse. That could lead to stricter water use regulations and a drought surcharge on your water bill.
