Created #SOLAS128, working on #CRT7. Try the demo: | Part-time lecturer, part-time Scottish BAFTA winning game developer! He/him
Our MDes Graduation Showcase will be on the 6th of August 17:00 to 19:30 at CodeBase, Edinburgh. We'll have student games, plus games from local developers! Alt controllers! Physical Puzzle Games! Nibbles if I get those sorted in time! Free tickets and deets here: buytickets.at/mdesingames/...
I... Might have too much caramel shortbread now?
The tech and entertainment industries are having a normal one again, I see...
Dissimulation is at #GIGF and already puzzling a crowd! Can you come and help them escape the dungeon using a light up midi controller? On show today and tomorrow! #GameDev #IndieDev #PuzzleGame
Oh heck yeah, they finally made it so you can use the stickers you collect in Mario Kart World in the photo mode. FINALLY.
Dissimulation, the puzzle game I made with @m-enderbug.bsky.social, will be at @glasgowindiegamesfest.org next month! As you'll be able to play it with a midi controller that had 109 different lit buttons I couldn't resist adding some colourful attract modes!
Heya #PitchYaGame! CRT7 is an escape room where you decypher computers, unravel tape players, and unlock impossible doors! Dozens of different puzzle types, dark vibes, zero jump scares. In-game hints and accessibility options. Can you uncover its secrets when even time and space are against you?
Happy Pride yous lot! It's been a rough ol' year for a whole lot of reasons, but it's heartening to see so many good folks still out there ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍🩷 (And, you know, updated graphics for CRT7's @puzzleshowcase.bsky.social demo meant it was about time to rerecord this loop!)
The thing I'm most proud of in the CRT7 @puzzleshowcase.bsky.social demo is the in-game note taking! You can photo anything, then annotate it however you like. They're even cloud synced on Steam! Try it yourself now: store.steampowered.com/app/2096780/... #GameDev #IndieDev #Accessibility
Today it was time to make a gluten free condensed milk chocolate cake. It's risen really well for GF I think, and I bet it'll go great with tea or coffee!
It's been a busy few weeks getting everything ready for the @puzzleshowcase.bsky.social so this weekend I'm going to make some real over the top food. Starting with BBQ chicken + seaweed and cider salami pizza. Yeah I'm quite full now >.>
Hello to all the new followers! I was out today at the always excellent ECGx, perplexing players with two of my puzzles games! Was great to see people trying the upcoming CRT7 demo and playing Dissimulation on the Launchpad with all its lights 😍
I've been redoing my Steam capsules to reflect the graphical tweaks I've made... and I have to say, I remain very chuffed with my Steam Library one. I just really like how it looks nestled in there?
Okay so maybe the pentomino position was annoying me and I needed to fix >.>
Been working on fixing bugs and tweaking the visuals across CRT7 today in time for an upcoming demo refresh. I'm really digging this updated desk and light! #ScreenshotSunday #IndieDev #PuzzleGame
Working on a few updates for the CRT7 demo for a certain upcoming event! Fingers cross I don't break anything... #ScreenshotSaturday
Okay I need you all to go and pick up Sektori (by @gimblll.com) right now. I've been playing it for the last two hours straight and I do not say this lightly: it might even be better than Geometry Wars 2? It has bits of GW2, Nova Drift, Thumper, Waves 2, and Jeff Minter and it's *incredible*
The recent mid-generation PS5 refresh was bolder then I'd heard
That's an awfully threatening way to put that...
A colleague asked me whether I could print this model and I had some spare filament soooooo...
Oh my goodness they've only gone and filled an Easter egg with ice cream 😍
St Abbs (used as New Asgard in Endgame), which is all the way over here in this picture. Lovely walk down the coast 🧡
Okay, own up... which one of you replaced the book I was reading with a linking book from Myst?
This article just made me really tired. I actually quite like being by myself in games? It's such a boring design trend that so many games won't shut the fuck up and just let you explore them.
Replaying Alan Wake 2 in Final Draft mode and I'd forgotten just how funny the first episode of the Night Springs DLC was. Having it as an interlude with Alan's story in "New York" really works too, teasing the serious tone of it and acting as a release valve for how unsettling the game can be.
