We’ve added two Handheld picks to our “Best Amiga in 2026” article — in case you are considering adding a handheld Amiga to your life 😄 amiga.vision/best#handheld
Yup! The correct (time-wise) variant to pair with the A600 would be the modern, rounder “P2” Commodore chassis that came next, but the sharper-edged one goes better with the A600, IMO.
The best fit for the A600 aesthetically would be this chassis variant (both with sharper edges), but since A600 was supposed to be (but really wasn’t) the “budget” version of the A600, I agree that the Philips CM-8833 II would be a good fit like others also suggested.
Who said the Japanese didn’t use Amiga? Here’s a “doujinshi” (fan mag) from back in the day. Photo by @mucom88.bsky.social
Steam Deck is also ideal for AmigaVision, since it’s 16:10, which is the optimal aspect ratio for Amiga scaling, as we explain in amiga.vision/overscale — here are some example photos from @jimiga.bsky.social to show just how great it looks!
Want the ultimate Amiga gaming and demo scene handheld device? Mr. @simondick.bsky.social shows off our new emulator scaling — the 5×PAL scaling for the game GODS, and the 16:9 scaling for the demo EON from @h0ffman.bsky.social & crew — on the 1080p OLED Retroid Pocket Flip 2. Absolutely gorgeous!
Supporting new platforms will of course bring new challenges, so we had to add instructions of what *NOT* to do on the download pages 😄
The biggest release in AmigaVision’s history! AmigaVision 2026.04.16 Released with Massive Platform Expansion, Fixes 30-Year Old Amiga Emulator Scaling Issues, adds 2,955 Game Manuals + 137 New Games and Demos: amiga.vision/2026.04.16
3000 game manuals easlily accessible by just pointing your phone or tablet at AmigaVision? Yes, indeed! (Try it with your phone right now!)
AmigaVision brought you the first 16:9 aspect ratio (not stretching or non-integer scaling) Amiga demos via Widescreen demo category on MiSTer. Since we already took it up to 11, can we do one better? Yes, we can. Here’s a screenshot of Amiga rendering into a 21:9 screen aspect ratio w/o stretching:
We are hard at work on the upcoming release of AmigaVision — you won’t be disappointed, we have some major improvements coming — but we also took the time to massively expand the supported platforms for the current version as well. Add AmigaVision to all your devices! amiga.vision/download/
Are we cooking up something big for the next release of AmigaVision? Absolutely. Links to 2500 Amiga game manuals via QR codes in the launcher incoming, and that’s not even ⅓ of what’s about to happen — try it on your phone/tablet! 😄
Even Commodore knew that sharp pixel scaling is bullshit and added scanlines to their print ads 😂
Nothing makes us happier than when people install AmigaVision on real hardware. This is @riksrandomretro.com who finally acquired an Amiga 1200 and put AmigaVision on it. Highly recommend him as a fantastic livestreamer and a good follow on Bluesky too. www.youtube.com/live/ilt3-1d...
Lykke til! I følge NRK dot no, er det viktigste å sikre trampolinen, siden alle barnefamilier i Norge har trampoline. Jeg har aldri sett flere trampoliner noe sted enn i Norge 😂
This chart always blows my mind. Everyone remembers Monkey Island, SimCity, Prince of Persia. But when was the last time a retro game video talked seriously about Populous?
The original (sideways) Tower of Power (TI-99/4A), SEGA ain’t got nothing on the computer scene
Gaspard Auge of the band Justice is wearing a “Shadow of the Beast” t-shirt in this interview 😍
(Amiga) 1000 followers the same week as the Amiga (1000) was launched 40 years ago? Surely not a coincidence 😅
Happy 40th birthday to the most forward-looking and ahead of its time computer ever released: Amiga. 4096 colors, stereo PCM sound, the world’s first pre-emptively multitasking OS in a personal computer in 1985. Still has an active and vibrant demo scene and new games being released for it in 2025!
Gotta love the poetic simplicity of the Afterburner cockpit sprite on the NES just ending up as… an A.
