Neat design. I've never heard of this before. It reminds me of Jabba's door, or Max from Flight of the Navigator.
Gareth the Goblin King seems like a really fun host, and he'd probably teach you to play with his balls, to boot.
This is awesome! It reminds me of Philippe Bouchet's cover for the French editions of Poul Anderson's Tau Zero.
They also approximated the awesome disintegration effect from STVI.
The game Klingon Honor Guard committed to pink blood for Klingons (and Qo'noS animals like targs and RoPeds) though they went more neon than Pepto Bismol. Seems like an artistic choice rather than for ratings - Nausicaans and Letheans had red blood. Andorians and an insect enemy had green.
You ever seen Starhunter's battered luxury liner/troop transport/derelict/bounty hunting ship (/prison/experimental engine testbed/...)? It's obscure but it's one of my favourite ship designs.
The fella on the left reminds me of the Martians from Spaced Invaders.
The big head and cowl reminds me of the Caldonians from TNG "The Price" (Barzani Wormhole ep) memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Caldonian
For me, it was probably the Garg's from Commander Keen. They were so much faster than they looked!
Reminds me a bit of those folded metal admission tags they used to give you at museums.
Anything that had a lot of lore and/or dev interviews was always a fun read. In the case of Dark Forces, I couldn't afford the game, so I bought the guide and read it over and over until I got the game for Christmas, so I had basically spoiled everything.
I figured it looks a bit like the Daedalus (or similar; I'm not that familiar with SG outside of the film) but I think the engines are in the wrong place?
I read Tau Zero recently, and I will forever be bummed out that Manchu's depiction of the LC isn't the cover art like it is for the French editions. It's accurate as well as attractive. English edition attached, which isn't terrible, but it's clearly not bespoke for the novel.
