On the recommendations of the Faculty of Horror, I watched Marina de Van's 'In My Skin'. Wowzers..... what a film. It has imperfect women! Useless boyfriends! Grotesque body horror! The crushing weight of surveillance and control of female bodies! French arthouse goodness! What's not to love?

Today's tip from a therapist: when you are facing a long 'to do' list, you don't have to do everything. Just focus on one, small task that you have been putting off. For example, popping your Punch costume into the dry cleaners rather than leaving it to fester until next May.

I have been blown away by the Edinburgh Fringe since I first came in 2013. The following year, I got to see 'The Anima Project' and it remains one of my most awesome theatre experiences. If you told me then that one day, I would be doing my own show, I would tell you get the fudge out.

Name a film with a title that is a full sentence. One of my favourites that hasn't had enough love from the horror community: 'They Look Like People' (2015).

'Yellowjackets' started off SO DAMN GOOD and then.... I don't know. The end of season two didn't sit right. Too messy, too neat. Killed off the best character. Is it worth diving into season 3?

Loved 'Hokum'. BUT how does Alby become the terrifying ghost at the end of 'Oddity' if the hotel burns down? I will not rest until I know.

Rewatching 'V/H/S Halloween' and while it's nowhere near as good as other entries in the series (looking at you, 'V/H/S 99'), I really enjoy the framing narrative of the gruesome Diet Phantasma taste tests. The only cola with added poltergeist!

I LOVED 'Something Very bad is Going to Happen'. Bloody loved it! Spooky, twisty, gory, funny, vengeful, feminist as fuck, with a great soundtrack. What more could a horror heart want?

I'm embarrassingly late to this but hot damn, '28 Years Later: Bone Temple' is AMAZING and the Jimmys are some of the scariest villains I've seen in a wee while. Got me very excited for the last installment.
