I am a constitutional liberal, an optician,a student of finance. A self-taught explorer of the sciences of mind, nature, and language. A speculator on the world’s stock exchanges, author, and in retirement. What sustains me: integrity, someday the beauty of a wonderful woman, and faith in God.
My ideas: Zero tolerance for crime, corruption, and drug trafficking; tackling poverty as a root cause; protecting human rights and the right to asylum; living equality; thinking in an eco‑economic balance; integration following the Swiss model; actively upholding European values.
My idea: a value‑oriented liberalism with a strong focus on security and human rights, complementing Germany’s chance‑oriented liberalism centered on education, economy, and innovation. Freedom needs both opportunities and values to build a responsible and humane society.
Cultural liberalism emphasizes pluralism, tolerance, and individual life choices. It defends diversity, minority rights, and cultural self‑determination, ensuring freedom of expression and authentic living within a fair and inclusive society.
Social liberalism - links freedom with social responsibility. The state intervenes to secure equal opportunities, expanding education, welfare, and labor rights. It balances individual liberty with fairness, ensuring that society protects the vulnerable while fostering democratic participation.
Ordoliberalism - is a German variant from the Freiburg School in the 1930s. The state creates a legal framework, prevents monopolies and cartels, and ensures fair competition. It became the foundation of Germany’s Social Market Economy, balancing freedom with social responsibility.
Constitutional Liberalism - means that freedom is secured only through a binding constitution. The rule of law and separation of powers form its foundation. A classic example is the United States, with its strong constitutional framework and commitment to individual rights.
Political liberalism - emphasizes human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. It defends freedom of speech, religion, and assembly, ensuring diverse voices can coexist. Its goal is to limit state power through constitutional checks, protecting individuals from tyranny and safeguarding liberty.
