I write a long reply to Plane Jane’s Instagram video asking for a fact check over Kate Chastain’s claims that its illegal for producers to interfere in any reality show involving money; dipshits accuse me of using generative AI. 🤦‍♂️

Kate's likely referring to 47 U.S. Code § 509,
"Prohibited practices in contests of knowledge, skill, or chance," a law established after the 1950s quiz show scandals.
But she's way overstating the case here. And for her to claim that production interference is all in your head is ludicrous.
Whether that law applies to reality TV competitions has not been established by law or courts, as far as I know.
Instead, things vary between reality TV shows/ production companies/networks. Some take fairness seriously, and have lawyers on hand to observe.
But also the way the games are designed means there's a lot of subjectivity-from RuPaul being the sole decision-maker to judging on cooking shows, never mind rules and contracts that allow producers a lot of leeway.

I'm gonna guess that "journalist" was Aaron Parnas or someone like him. Not an actual reporter with any background in journalism, any clue how to fact check and any semblance of providing original, vetted information. But someone who showed up on the internet one day and decided to give themselves a lofty job title, knowing that plenty of people would take that title at face value and never question their qualifications or methods.
That same thing is happening in Al right now, where thousands of people are pretending to be experts in something they themselves do not understand. They're peddling the narrative that you must get on board with Al and they can help you do it. They do not grapple with criticism, nor do they explain the risks and harms. And they are seemingly inescapable if you hang out anywhere online.
I, for one, am not gonna take any more of their bullshit.
