I’m afraid you are mistaken In London we have universal primary FSM & a number of researchers looked specifically at the impact on attendance
Seems Donald Trump is suddenly fine with authoritarian Muslim states who profligate terrorism & murder indiscriminately having nuclear enrichment capability It’s almost as if he has something in common with MBS?
I found this extract on the detailed planning around UIFSM rather surprising Some of us are old enough to remember the complete lack of infrastructure funding that created huge division in the coalition The rushed implementation created huge problems for schools and caterers alike
I hope Henry and Dolly didn’t mean to imply Universal Free School Meals improved educational attainment Because obviously the evidence doesn’t support that claim
Seems increasingly likely, the voters in Clacton will have a binary choice; Count Binface or Cunt Frogface
Since the transitional protections were introduced in 2014 we’ve seen an extra 1 million pupils becoming eligible for FSM We don’t know how many of those additional pupils are due solely to TP or how many will lose FSM completely this September
I’m all for keeping Starmer on for a few more months, just to piss off Trump
Indeed But the parents the billions are being redistributed towards are mostly middle and high earners
If FIFA are going to dick around with “Hydration breaks” they should take a leaf out of other sports and do it properly
And also fyi this was the last research into paid for meal numbers It’s old but I’m led to believe it’s still fairly accurate
I’ve not got good internet atm, so can’t do a search But here’s a quote from some 2024 research
It’s also worth noting that there was some research into the LAs that ran independent FSM schemes The researchers commentary is awful imo, but it’s notable for the fact they found no statistically significant impact on attainment (it made some worse at maths)
You mean Ronnie Woodward, the Reform guy with a Hungarian wife? Clearly not all migrants are equal
Infantino is an utter disgrace Let’s hope they have enough evidence to lock his weasel ass up for a long time
Imagine being in charge of a news organisation and thinking it would be a good idea to go into a formal partnership with the man who posted this It’s disgusting
And how many children will lose their eligibility due to the end of Transitional protections? Look at how FSM numbers increased after they were introduced TPs end in September
Go to the actual research rather than the PR bollocks from vested interests Look at the statistical significance of the claims being made on reading The ONLY significant impact was making some children worse at maths
I am sad enough to have a special interest in school food and regularly challenge the idea simply adding to the curriculum will resolve all the worlds ills They’re not bad people, its just they are clueless about actually running a school or education department
