I'm getting a strong sense that there's something that these "wildcards" have in common, however I can't quite put my finger on it...
And there we have it, the inevitable and entirely predictable cave from the most spinless government in the history of Australia. None of which will result in any credit being given from the media or opposition whatsoever, and the ALP dropping even further in the polls.
Leaving as an open question why she thought that the Liberal Party was a good fit in the first place. Perhaps she's considering jumping to One Nation now, since, after all, they at least still have a female leader.
We all know that lower taxes and fewer services is the magic pudding that keeps on giving. The claim that public servants are lazy bludgers just never gets old. And they're going to continue getting away with it too, until ALP governments start defending higher taxes for more, better services.
Who'd ever have imagined that the ALP would take heat from everyone for days on a semi-principled stand, only to cravenly cave at the last minute, thereby getting credit from absolutely nobody while demonstrating complete spinelessness. It's the Labor way.
Go on rusties, tell me again how this passes the sniff test. Oh, that's right, poor hardworking, underpaid mums and all that...
