the Samurai Edge - A1; a post-Raccoon City Kendo Gunshop design seen in Resident Evil Revelations. basically, the Samurai Edge with an A1 railed frame. in this case, a WIP based off a Wilson Combat 92G Brig Tac I managed to swipe on the cheap a few years back when WC was discontinuing the design.

The Cass Review was commissioned to address the failure of the UK National Health Service to provide timely, competent, and high-quality care to transgender youth. These failures include long wait times—often years—and resulting delays in timely treatment by skilled providers. Instead of effectively addressing this issue, however, the Review’s process and recommendations
stake out an ideological position on care for transgender youth that is deeply at odds with the Review’s own findings about the importance of individualized and age-appropriate approach to medical treatments for gender dysphoria in youth, consistent with the international Standards of Care issued by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and the Clinical
Practice Guidelines issued by the Endocrine Society. Far from evaluating the evidence in a neutral and scientifically valid manner, the Review obscures key findings, misrepresents its own data, and is rife with misapplications of the scientific method. The Review deeply considers the possibility of gender-affirming interventions being given to someone who is not transgender, but without reciprocal consideration for transgender youth who undergo permanent, distressing physical changes when they do not receive timely care. The vast majority of transgender youth in the UK and beyond do not receive an opportunity to even consider clinical care with qualified clinicians—and the Review’s data demonstrate this clearly.

Congrats – you're sober. It will take a while for your body to remember how to metabolize anything that isn't sugar from alcohol, so you're going to be pretty ravenous soon. Eat plenty. You can expect your coordination and balance to improve in a couple of weeks. In two months, you might start sleeping like a normal person. Full recovery will take years, though. It’ll be depressing. And it’ll be boring. Don’t expect any further rewards or handclaps. This is how normal people are all the time.

i feel weirdly proud of this brief passage i wrote recently in a collab project i’m working on. something about it hits even if i can’t put my finger on what.

One could still tell Ray was a Republican if you knew what to look for. Even after she gave up her NCRA uniform for the light leather gear of a wasteland scout, or let the old regulation haircut grow out into her current wild mess of ruddy brown hair, or put metal rings through her lip and her nose and … other places polite people shouldn’t mention. Ray retained that particular type of entitled swagger that all Californians had - like the wasteland had a set of rules to follow, like there were intrinsic values in the world, and it was up to people like Ray to just remind everyone of it - by force as necessary. Ray had been out in the /real world/ of the Mojave long enough to realize things weren’t that black and white outside civilization, but even her vaguely bitter resignation to that reality still had a distinctly /Californian/ affect.

the only exception I can think of in the past *twenty-three years* was Alana Shepard, my primary Mass Effect trilogy character. i've wondered for many years why that is. she still doesn't look like me so she's not even a self-insert. guess i was just feeling different that day.

realizing that in any single player game with character customization since at least 2003, with the release of KotOR 1, I have almost exclusively played as a black woman with like. maybe one notable exception that comes to mind.
