Less charting ≠ more productivity. In nearly 200,000 ED encounters, both ambient AI and human scribes reduced documentation time, but neither led to meaningful gains in throughput or wRVUs/hour. Maybe the real value isn’t doing more. Maybe it’s reducing the burden of documentation.
