UltraHuman was hacked and waited two months to tell everyone. This serves as a reminder to myself... when you sign up for a service attached to hardware, you aren't just giving your fitness data to that company... but eventually to their hackers too.
Yesterday, my clock was featured as the top story in the Instructables newsletter. Pretty stoked about that! www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFlw...
Coming at you CES! Almost didn’t come this year, but some pretty late invites changed my mind.
In other cool news, Anoraker broke 1.5 million views today. Pretty happy with that.
Picked up a taco kit at Meijer yesterday and made it today. It tasted like poison. Checked the box and it’s expired by over a year. What the heck Meijer?
On the more political side of things: I'm proud to share that I've been officially endorsed by the Cincinnati AFL-CIO Labor Council. If you want to support change for Symmes, consider donating here: secure.actblue.com/donate/josh-...
Two parades, 14,000 steps (most of them running), six miles, 300 water bottles handed out. This campaign for Symmes Township Trustee is only getting started. Happy Fourth of July everyone!
Found a couple of these stickers in a new review unit during install. Walp, that's going to be a ding in the review. No. No. No. Bad sticker.
CES coverage coming to a close... I'm thinking about live streaming tech news in the future. What do y'all think? I used to write tech news for PCMag, Review Geek, How-To Geek, etc... feels in my wheelhouse.
On Friday morning, I'm releasing a video that I've been wanting to do for months and months. I managed to get a hold of a never released product that made waves at CES years ago. Everyone wanted one... no one got it. And now I have it. See you then.
YouTube is now offering me the option to share my videos with third parties to train their AI... and it might be a little less insulting if it at least came with some kind of compensation. "Hey, do you want to let AI learn to copy you for free?" Credit it to Google by making this off by default.
To my fellow Ohio Blue dots Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending a swearing in ceremony for Karen Brownlee. She is going to absolutely kill it as the new State Rep for Ohio 28, and is proof that we can and will move this state in the right direction.
Video coming on what to do now. The good news is, there are plenty of options and opportunities.
I’ve been missing this @ifixit.com manta driver for over three years. So long that I bought (and broke) a replacement. And was getting ready to buy again. Where should I find it but deeeeeeep in the crevices of a couch, by the arms. Found it looking for a tv remote.

New video at 9 am Eastern tomorrow! We're going to create a cool Spotify desk thing! I set this as a premiere so we can watch together!
So YouTube has a super annoying issue right now. Comment Bot Spam. But it's incredibly different than any comment spam that's come before it. Because the comments are just ... names. Nothing but names. But there's a new theory out about why it might be really bad. Really bad.
