And with Vol 7 - a circuit is complete! 1962 - 1984 of Amazing Spider-Man in omnibus format is now on the shelf. I have the Roger Stern omni but will be interesting to see how they fill the full Black costume era, considering that first omni was misprinted.
The icing on the cake is that a key Captain Britain foe - Mad Jim Jaspers- was simply a mutant version of Enoch Powell. Marvel had very little to exaggerate to make him look like an obvious and uttterly demented comic book villain. Art imitates life quote easily, sometimes.
