Chylothorax is a bitch. We've done all the crazy expensive surgeries but we keep having to go to the ER between vet visits to drain fluid because it just keeps coming. We've been teetering on the tipping point but I cannot. 😭 He's the sweetest and he's barely 2. Hoping for a miracle. #caturday
Happy #NationalPetDay & #Caturday! Peanut is recovering from surgery to repair a pericardial diaphragmatic hernia and to place a pluero port after 2 thoracocentesis for chylothorax. He's officially the most expensive pet I have ever owned. We are grateful he's home thanks to his brilliant vet team!
This guy almost died yesterday. He has peritoneopericardial diaphragmic hernia. He needed an emergency thoracocentesis to remove about 12 Oz of fluid from his chest cavity. He will need follow up surgery to close the hernia and remove the part of his liver that moved into his chest cavity. #Caturday
