Listening to one of my all-time favorite albums on Apple Music and the streaming version has so many replays and retakes... it's more of a tribute to the original than a remaster. Uncanny valley stuff. I wonder what Q-Tip and Ali think (if they ever listen to it). Record company people still shady.

There is a nasty ass industrial refinery alongside the NJ Turnpike that spews filthy steam from smokstacks 24/7 you can smell for miles but according to Google Maps it has "suprisingly good" burgers and I am simultaneously repelled and intrigued 🏭🍔💨

Got an invitation from BBC4 to do a book intervew. From a Gmail address. I replied, I hope this isn't another author scam. They wrote back and said, we totally understand your concern. Not a scam. But we do want money. The prevalence of these scams is an index of publishing industry dysfunction.
