It's really surreal. I'm in the burbs, way out of Boston and this was last evening, and it's so much worse today with the yellow haze.

The missus made the garlic scape and cheddar scones, and they're a favourite thing. We get the scapes by the bundle at Small Farm locally.
No footie today so it's time to catch up on dodgy horror movies with my youngest...

Been at the curling club since 730am for the bar ice machine delivery window 12-4pm. An update saying it'll be here within the hour. Also, Coke tech that was supposed to be here between 730-130, the reason we're here so early, never showed. BOO registration has been smooth so far at least.
Chiili roulette... We got one from the garden finally... Unfortunately all the markers got mixed up so we're not sure which one this is.

Sometimes my eldest likes her sister. She got her a spicy tonkotsu ramen from work, and I was here for the glorious runny egg.
Just as I was about to head off from the drive way, noticed the temp which I guess makes it a tad warm up here too. Decided to get the Spring Chicken Sammie over a hot one for my freebie at Nan's Kitchen this week.
Didn't expect the late drama in the Belgium v Senegal game, but that's definitely a bit of fun as a neutral. Having Neon Stereo, 5.5% next IPA from Pivotal Brewing in Bristol, RI. It's not bad, but I prefer their session IPA more. Little too much carbing I think.
After yesterday, we need silly kitty photos. Finally messed around with the remote flash trigger on the newer camera, because why not, there's a old manual flash as a back up. Mr Bond didn't seem to mind.
So much drama the Germany v Paraguay game, that second goal chaulked for a foul... But anyway, locally this Rapid Refresh lemon and orange wheat beer from Medusa, 4.6%. can't taste the orange and it's very lemon heavy. Not bad, refreshing stuff, but not the best wheat beer around or their finest.
Japan v Brazil easier today. Didn't expect much but proved to be a great game. Japan got the surprise early lead but couldn't hold it late in the game and gave up a late goal to lose. But they proved how vulnerable Brazil are. Still, made some crab stick sushi for the occasion and it was lovely.
It's been a really long day, so it's good to grab a All Day Founders session IPA. 4.7% session beer from Founders who are from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Also, a friend got me this new koozie for my beer, so how could I not bust it out :)
Another scholarship awards ceremony for our eldest... This one, the kids get piped on which is pretty cool.
Half time beer, ready to be disappointed by England in the second half. Breakaway Blonde, 4.7%, a light blonde from Sam Adams. But who am I kidding they were disappointing in the first half too.
Checked out the towns Cultural Arts Council reception and potentially joining the committee. Nice little turn out, including one of our state senators.
The early season project of making curling broom head sleeves was finished with a bit of help over the weekend, as Youngest's sewing machine was having a bit of a hiccup. Should be set for a while. Also the last of my orange material, but enough for 10 sleeves.
Anyone else disappointed by this appointment? Flashy name but no experience feels like another relegation battle rather than promotion push?
Phew. England held off the disappointment but a rocky first half there...
So the tree by the hammock finally after years has some cherries. Not that many, and a bunch were going bad, but cherries none the less...
The last couple of beers, Bad Omen from Medusa, a tart 7.5% pale ale with raspberries and cherries made for a lovely refreshing beer that hits the spot. This evening, Tiny Treat a 5.4% pale ale from Treehouse. Underrated, hoppy with tropical notes also really hitting the spot.
Brother Adam's Braggett, an ale brewed with honey coming in at 10.5%. This is a very tasty aged ale from Atlantic Brewing in Bar Harbor, Maine. Perfect to watch the last of the England warm up games before the dire World Cup.
Last evenings beer when it was slightly cooler than it has been was the All That Is and All That Ever Will Be, which is a super smooth 6.5% milk stout from Treehouse.
