We’ve had Zelda fever around my house this summer. Elliott has played Ocarina, Majora’s Mask, and now Wind Waker since school let out. I’m playing Ocarina on the MiSTer, often one room over from him, so the soundtracks kind of mix and it feels like Link HQ or something.
Today is the 19 year anniversary of Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol. I wonder what Nintendo is cooking up for the big anniversary next year.
Saw the greatest 4th wave emo band of all time tonight, Joie de Vivre.
And plenty of love for Groundhog Day too, which was partially filmed there.
They also have some great Orson Welles tributes, including a mural and a statue.
To start, they had a great mural dedicated to Dick Tracy’s creator, Chester Gould.
Went to Woodstock today for a screening of Dick Tracy at the Opera House…which I found out was canceled when I got there.
My dad is having dental surgery in the suburbs today and I’m his driver, so stuck in a Starbucks to watch the Direct. But my body is ready and I’m sporting a new Nintendo New York shirt to celebrate.
Somebody could’ve told me the main character in Mixtape is named “Rockford.”
Bright Eyes and Ben Kweller at Red Rocks last night. Listening to two artists I’ve been listening to nonstop for over 24+ years was a crazy great way to spend the day I turned 44.
It was cool to see Trick Williams one more time up close and personal in Chicago last year before he became massive main roster star #WhoopThatTrick
Show was good. Got to see my guy Johnny Wrestling. Needed more Osiris.
Reading Project Hail Mary and I like it so far, but the narrator’s voice is so off-putting and dorky. No one talks/thinks like this…

I’ve only been to Olympia for a few hours and if it’s still there, I’m sure you’ve heard of it, but we went to a place called The Wayside Cafe and it was pretty great.
RIP. Very sad and way too soon. Angus was probably the first thing I saw him in and he was so good.
