And it's deeply satisfying to solve a room and to see it in its solved form. A puzzle solution as a work of art. The world is often very open-concept compared to portal and you can often look around and see five or six solved sections all around you. Slowly you set things right.
Puzzle difficulty is *so hard* to get right. Portal 2 was marred by their version of yellow paint. Point and clicks almost all need a strategy guide at some point. The puzzles in ReThink are perfectly shaped to slot into my brain. Even if sometimes it takes hours, I will get there.
It's just laser puzzles. There's barely context to who or where you are, or why you're redirecting these lasers. You walk from one laser chamber, solve it, and it opens the door to the next one. And I see them in my sleep.
It's a game that makes me want to talk about it. I daresay it's a game that makes me want to talk about games I like in general. And to put into coherent words why I like them. Because there's *so little* to these games.
