A new iteration of Tilly Johnson's Still, We Move will open AS IT IS, 6.30-7pm, Aug 7th in the Grace and Clark Fyfe Gallery, Glasgow School of Art. Looking forward to experimenting with live improvised analogue sound to create a sound and movement dialogue as a trio with Tilly and Georgie Mac.
I went for the audio book thinking it'd be more flexible time wise, still not finished though as first time I've 'read' that way and still working out how to fit it in without using headphones. I might just get the hardback
Loved your track Rose, thank you for making it and sending. Wee bits of it here
It has become a bit of a ritual to play the camera shutter sound that @moragperkinsphoto.com recorded for Galloway Forest in 2021 at the point where people enter the installation space. Always a huge talking point.
Any questions, feel free to email me. It's a very cool site and you don't need to know anything about audio other than how to work your phone and send a file. No rules other than relates to being amongst trees alone.
Tomorrow and Sunday I'll be playing audio here from around the world as part of 'if trees were lone women what would they sound like in Aarhus'. As well as the audio already received I'm doing a 24 hour call-out for audio from women (inclusive) and NB people from anywhere in the world, details below
quick memory drawing this morning of Becoming Air, the closing performance of @counterflows.bsky.social last night from Annea Lockwood and Nate Wooley
I had the privilege and fun of spending yesterday with Annea Lockwood ahead of her career spanning events at Counterflows this weekend. Thanks to her for being part of the Glasgow body map for vibrato, and engaging so thoughtfully with my work at Six Foot Gallery (who have a chalk removing brush)
The abc as seen from music/place memory in my zine those times bill callahan came to fife and hung out iin scotland. The b & w photo is from yesterday. The un/annihilated archive
I tried to draw John Cassavettes and Gena Rowlands containing their ignition after symbolically stepping on each other's toes but Courtney Love appears to have gatecrashed.
There are three slightly different versions of my free 20 pages pamphlet, stamped and signed until they go
Some images of my installation from the opening night at Six Foot Gallery, Glasgow. corpus tenebras lux/sic : body map for vibrato The Offerings exhibition of which it is part runs until 21st April.
If there is such a thing as Danish bluesky then hello I'm bringing 'if trees were lone women what would they sound like in Aarhus' to Rooted Festival at Institut for X in June and would like to include your audio as per below with full info on IG
