Objective: still life, an object that is meaningful. Lily of the valley from my garden, porcelain straw glass from Karlovy Vary, Czech. Very symbolic to me. This is a 16” x 20”, my first large format painting, first true still life. EeK! I did it! Learned a ton!

I’m kind of bummed that the World Cup will be over today. Despite FIFA being FIFA, I had a great time watching, Seattle, Spokane and my own living room were great venues to support the teams. The matches and stories were incredible!

Gunther is 5! Gotcha Day! Shelter had him as a “hyper, vocal boy” and he sure is that! He‘s still wild, exceptionally fast, but he’s just the sweetest pup. He’s truly my soul dog. Don’t tell him he’s getting his annual shots today. He’s going to be dramatic.
