Got out super early this morning for a big three hour walk. We were out so early that I was back to start work at 8am.

Took the girls on the big 10 mile/4 hour beach walk today. We're all shattered, but had a lovely time.

Had the girls out for nearly three hours this morning and it was a lovely walk with hints of autumn.

Back from our little day trip to the Lake District. Three Wainwrights over three "mini" walks. Might be my favourite ever hike with the dogs.

You won't believe this, but look what I found tonight when walking the girls through the woods.

With my morning Zach duties done, him down for a nap, dogs walked and washed, I went out for a walk to our usual park by myself. Had a coffee in peace and a little sit down. Explored some "new" (rubbish) paths.

In truly awful news, the log-bench in the woods that I compete for a seat at on Friday evenings has been reduced to a shockingly small pile of ash.

Got home a few hours ago after a horrendous drive. Today's walk was brilliant though. The two previous times I've done this route it has been rubbish, but no complaints at all for today.

What a day. Didn't manage a haircut, but we got here on time, set up, had some food and went for a walk. One new Wainwright for the dogs.

So out hike the other day involved us going up Swirral Edge to the top of Helvellyn. We stuck mostly to a bypass path which turn in to a steep scree chimney and it was terrifying getting back on to the ridge. Anyway, we survived 👍

Zach is going through a phase where he likes gradients on the ground. Any sort of slope. He'll keep going up and down. Looking at him like 👀 you are going to love hills if this keeps up

Managed to find two hours to take the girls for an evening "hike" up Ling Fell and Sale Fell. It was lovely. I would spend the rest of time doing this with them every day if I could. Two new Wainwrights for them 🥳

So the reason I chose Skiddaw for our hike last Saturday is because I knew we would be staying in it's shadow this week. This is it here. The dogs don't seem remotely bothered when I say "we've been up there".
