Mark has clearly never got the 192 from Piccadilly to Stockport.
This is a fascinating insight into the life and career of one of England's greatest ever footballers. I found the high-performance-life-coach-speak a little grating, and it's not for me to say whether or not she's being harsh on Sarina Wiegman and Hannah Hampton. #BookSky💙📚
This is hugely enjoyable, and a must-read/listen for any Smiths fan. Mike Joyce comes across as incredibly likeable, really funny and down-to-earth. #BookSky💙📚
"don't get me wrong, Dave, I enjoyed last night as much as anyone, but one goal in the whole tournament? Against fucking Haiti? Even I went attacking when I had to. It's no acceptable." #oafc
Can you really classify a collection of 6 podcasts as an audiobook? Sod it, let's say yes. More enjoyable titting about from Adam Buxton. Speaking of which, Tits At The Bedroom Window is a beautiful song. #BookSky💙📚
A welcome return for my favourite elderly psychopath. I want to be like Maud when I grow up - travelling the world, doing good deeds and dispensing swift and brutal justice. Hope there's a vegetarian version of the Power of Life elixir. Absolutely living her best life. #BookSky💙📚
What an odd novel this is. Three interlinked stories of men going mad with grief and doing eccentric (inexplicable? idiotic? irresponsible?) things. I found this pretty challenging. #BookSky💙📚
This is a lovely collection of poems inspired by family, faith and the fight for racial equality. I particularly liked Life and We Are Marching. #BookSky💙📚
This is a powerful argument for walking as art and an act of resistance, and for reclaiming public spaces and making them inclusive and accessible to everyone. #BookSky💙📚
I really enjoyed this. A great, inspirational account of Nicola Adams' life and career. A true pioneer. #BookSky📚💙
This is a hugely enjoyable book and a must-read/listen (I highly recommend the audiobook) for Pulp fans. Nick Banks is a very different character to Jarvis Cocker, and the book is all the more endearingly down to earth for it (I did like him referring to Jarvis as 'His Nibs'). #BookSky💙📚
This is a brilliant book, an amazingly well-researched investigation into a young man's shocking unexplained death, and a disturbing insight into the super rich and London's criminal underworld. #BookSky💙📚
A suitably tumultuous and action-packed conclusion to our adventures with Elfie. Beautifully written and illustrated once again. I loved this series. #BookSky💙📚
Yep, in this photo you can see the window I was behind when we were relegated from the Football League, that our esteemed Health and Safety advisor told stewards to block, despite it being a fire exit. 4 years. Feels like a lifetime ago. #oafc
Ah, poor Elfie. Poor Angus. So nearly a happy ending of sorts. And yet.... This is so well written, and such a page turner. I can't wait to see how the series ends. #BookSky💙📚
This is an interesting history of Liverpool and reflection on the culture and image of the city. There's a fair bit I'd disagree with, and it's overly snarky in places, but it's well researched, witty and a good read. #BookSky💙📚
This is a fantastic book, brilliantly well researched. Each song is analysed in depth, in terms of the technical detail of how it was recorded, the inspirations and cultural references that influenced it, and the general context in which the song was made. #BookSky💙📚
Another brilliant, funny memoir from Adam Buxton. A witty, charming, and often moving recollection of his TV, radio and podcasting career, and of caring for and losing his mum. I will never look at conch shells the same way again. Highly recommend listening to it on audio. #BookSky💙📚
Took the afternoon off work to get some walking done. Picked a great day for it. Enjoyed refuelling at the Molino Lounge at least. Another 7.37 miles done towards 100 Miles In March for @roycastle.bsky.social. Less than 9 miles to go! www.justgiving.com/fundraising/...
An excellent way to spend a Sunday. 76.77 miles done so far towards 100 Miles In March for @roycastle.bsky.social. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/...
