First time playing Sanctuary: Ark Nova. My zoo ended up almost empty due to animal release programmes. Becky mostly collecting farm animals and disgusted by me encouraging youngest child to swipe her potentially game-winning donkey. (Fair.) Very fun!

The page image actually slightly undersells it IMO. The game is a cool little book that actually turns out to be more of a sleeve containing several little zines with the game rules and different characters and finds inside.

Been reading Yazeba's and I have something to say. It is ridiculous (ridiculous!) to rank scones as high-diff. If anything pancakes are harder since (as @beckyannison.bsky.social says) you have to turn them. And jumping from scones to croissants is INSANE. My alt baking diff table is PWYW on itch

Played The King Is Dead, an accidental Christmas gift, today. It is a simple, strategic game that I have definitely not yet mastered or even fully understood. Very hard to predict the consequences of ones own actions! I'm looking forward to playing more.

A game? For me? I should wait to consume it later but I'm sooo hungry. (It's our new copy of Against Time And Death!)

The STRATEGOS is a genius detective and strategist, their brain specially trained and enhanced with implants. They are always trying to see two steps ahead, and leading the effort to piece the truth behind the mystery together. ⤵️

The SHADOW WALKER is an enhanced spy and, perhaps, assassin. Armed with razor sharp social abilities and infiltration skills, they'll winkle the truth out through subterfuge if need be. You don't want to end up on the wrong end of their venom pistol. ⤵️

The SEER is a mysterious weaver of fate and dreams. They can literally walk into dreaming to uncover clues there, but more than that, they can peer into the depths of the tenebrium to see the past, the future, and things that may never come to pass. ⤵️

The RESURRECTED died, but they brought you back. You have one foot in the world of the living and one in the Tenebrium, with weird supernatural abilities and connections to the world of demons and death. Plus: you can investigate your own murder! ⤵️
