"He's the reason I've been so close to death so many times. He's why you died. Twice. I hunger for him and hurting him. But you... you see me. You make me feel human. Like being human is a good thing and not a weakness." Me @ my own brain spawns:
"Prove you aren't AI, show us your notes!" This family tree in the Lost Gods' rewrite is a wreath except for this section, and even then, it's basically a disconnected circle.
July's monthly round up post (cross-posted from Instagram) has a few things that I've been up to, like writing an erotic Halloween slasher, reading Priest by Sierra Simone, and enjoying @olivejkelley.bsky.social 's Watkins & Hemlock: patreon.com/cw/watkinsandhemlock to name a few.
I thought this was too funny not to share... especially as I'm in the middle of a sex scene right now in the queer erotic slasher.
Tender and deliciously hot, I was sucked into this short, sweet, and spicy TM/F comic. Moonlit Vow is definitely one I will revisit for many years to come. Thanks @darkchibishadow.bsky.social for the free copy! I cannot WAIT to read more of your stories. darkchibishadow.itch.io/moonlit-vow
When you're down bad already for someone you haven't properly met but also are worried that you'll have a repeat of messing around with another to-be-wedded individual (and get your face beaten in for it again). God, I'm still so obsessed with this section of the Lost Gods rewrite.
Not my brain vibrating because I drew for an ✨hour✨ and came up with this (it used to take me four-plus hours to get this far, so progress)! And yes, it's my chaos attack FMC and my fave, the bloodbag husband (whom no one has properly met yet). Where's the bastard? *Dramatic shrug.*
Snatched from @teawhilewriting.bsky.social . Get to know me via movies I've enjoyed.
Local queer dark fiction author seeking another author for an accountability buddy so both parties can make some concrete progress on their respective projects (with check-ins and cheering on).
And if you've read all of that, here's a couple of photos of my cat, Freya, the anxious floof who is truly the sweetest bean, to pay the cat tax.
I'm Ezra (they/them/theirs), a creator of queer/dark/polyamorous fiction/poetry/audio dramas born and raised in the Midwestern United States. I live in Chicago with my cat, Freya, and spend my free time submerging myself in fictional worlds, if not already writing some, to cope with the real world.
Didn't write a word, but contemplated more time period-appropriate names for Mal in this rewrite while working on this drawing. Having a crisis related to this particular depiction of Mal, and trying not to scream and question everything. So yeah. An imperfect update.
ACCOUNTABILITY THREAD INTRO. The Rings of Power meets Sleep Token's Even in Arcadia/TMBTE albums, roots WIP (AKA the Lost Gods rewrite) is a dark high fantasy about the consequences of disregarding nature's warnings, fall of empires, and taboo/queer/polyam smut with biting/blood/nasty faeries.
Thinking about knights and their devotion to a lord who isn't worthy, and how that tracks through a lot of my projects... especially the Lost Gods rewrite. Also rethinking the story's timeline while I poke at the outline (I thought I wrote it all down, but it was actually all a dream. Weep).
I... I was not expecting this, but based on my background, I kinda get it.
34. The feeling of burrowing under the covers after a long day at work followed by a shower. All clean with some really nice smelling lotion that's good for your eczema, and you've just given your cat a squeezy treat. All is right in the world. Cat tax below in the form of Freya nomming on a snack.
My stabby flaming bi freak drawn by @carolinejamhour.bsky.social back in... god, was it 2020? I just found this process gif I was sent and am being taken back.
Feeling a little bit silly, so here's a collection of loot I'd drop if defeated in a video game... plus a semi-disguised snippet from my Lost Gods rewrite.
16. Gothic and horror movies in general. I don't watch much, but there are several that I have imprinted on, like del Toro's Frankenstein (2025), Nosferatu (2024), and No One Lives (2012).

Authors, post the last line of dialogue before they smooch. Back in my not-Lost Gods faery story with this snippet. This scene was one of the first of this draft and story that I wrote and I'm still obsessed with it.
This isn't a smut scene from the Lost Gods rewrite, but an unedited "my increasingly shitty husband doesn't believe that I was brutally murdered so our boyfriend who sewed me back up like Frankenstein's creature and let me drink his blood to heal is helping me show the proof that I, in fact, died."
It's a bit of a longer snippet but I had such a delightful time writing one of my MCs going off on a ramble-confession and getting shut up with a kiss.
It's completely unedited, but this snippet from my Lost Gods rewrite from the POV of one of the two main characters, Linc (my voring little fae menace), immediately came to mind.
