Just thought some of you could use something 💯 non-political. Blue jays in my backyard, the lift bridge in Hastings, MN, a sleeping bumblebee and a turkey in love with its own reflection.
After nearly 16 years with us, Ollie passed away peacefully in our arms this morning. He was the absolute best companion and we’ll miss him terribly. RIP, monster dog.
Cat bird. He’d just got done eating suet pellets and bathing in one of our fountains.

Some times you have to create the good. Cherry bounce, a new fountain I made, and my pear tree offering fruit for the first time.
We had some randomly in the spring, in the morning and by lunch they’d shriveled up.
Picked some flowers from the yard, canned some peppers, made a jello poke cake, gonna sew some stuff tomorrow… all in all, it’s great when you turn off the news. **buries head into sand**
We pulled 13 pounds of cherries yesterday and making them all into regular cherry and cherry amaretto jams.
Cookies and cream ice cream made and now we wait for it to firm up in the freezer.
Look. If the squirrels get to the sunflowers this year, then they deserve them. Operation Sunflower.
