That's not burned at all! That's beautiful! Great job! I have also ventured into sourdough, and the one on the left is a little lighter because that's how my husband prefers it. But you can see the one on the right is darker because that's how I prefer it lol

Been trying to learn ALL things sourdough so I can make a couple infusion loaves. They get better each time; thankfully, with the exception of 2 loaves, all loaves since January, have turned out pretty good. Working on the visual side now lol

I made five loaves of sourdough this weekend including one whole wheat sourdough! And then I made a whole wheat loaf of regular bread, but the problem is I think I pulled the lame through too fast, maybe too slow? And it made my regular wheat bread fall. I'm learning!

I can't believe it turned out! Meet Barney! My starter is called Fred the sourdough Bread (starter). And my offshoots from Fred are Wilma and Pebbles! But the loaf is Barney!
I tried a bun and I think it tastes pretty dang good! The loaf fell a little flat because I didn't punch the air out enough, and it had risen over the top like it was supposed to but just too much air bubbles caused it to go flat. Haven't yet tried the bread because my husband prefers both heels 🤷🏼♀️
Snow day today and I'm teaching myself how to make bread and buns. Homemade bread. I think the bread's going to be great. The buns are going to be questionable. Getting the sizing right on the dough balls was tricky.
