Omg you guys!!! The new keychains arrived JUST in time for @dinoconuk.bsky.social !!! So excited now aaah
All of the display pieces for @dinoconuk.bsky.social are finished. I‘m not sorting through the resin kits and doing a count, finalising print curing for the remaining ones and will then think about final pricing. This marathon is about to come to an end!
Still not done preparing for @dinoconuk.bsky.social but I thought this lineup of the 1/35 crew was neat!
Finishing painting this lad today so I can move him aside for other models. If I told you my initial inspiration was tiramisù, would you believe me? 😅
Second diorama almost finalised. Researching reef building organisms now to maybe add to the base. Rhomaleosaurus thorntoni, 1/35 scale
Whoopsie, I keep forgetting to post updates on here! I am working non-stop to finish the dioramas for @dinoconuk.bsky.social!
48cm tall, 61cm longest extention (head to tail, not stretched out). 71cm if extended, for an animal 25m long. Only bringing one Giraffatitan to DinoCon so you‘ll have to be quick!
Table plan has been sent out! You‘ll find me at table 43 at this year‘s @dinoconuk.bsky.social in Birmingham, July 25-26, who are my table neighbours? :D
Started with custom bases for the display models (since I ran out of primer)! The little foot prints! I‘m using DAS clay to cover the base before flocking, we‘ll see how well that holds.
Should I be working on my prints and wrapping them up for @dinoconuk.bsky.social? Yes. Should I also finalise assembling and then painting the display models (which will also be for sale)? Also yes. Did I instead start to completely rework my old Giraffatitan brancai model and beef him up a lot?
Finishing assembly on the 1/35 scale display models I‘m bringing to @dinoconuk.bsky.social. Still curing loads of the kits that will be for sale and painting will take quite a bit of time as well! Better keep at it…
Rhomaleosaurus thorntoni, 1/20 scale, fresh off the print bed. 1/35 scale currently printing. Soon running out of resin I fear!
Updating Rhomaleosaurus thorntoni for DinoCon. This fella was very smooth beforehand and I felt a bit of visual interest was needed. Hoping to wrap this up today and get him ready for printing asap!
Oldest vs. newest of my ankylosaur models (to scale): Struthiosaurus austriacus and Ankylosaurus magniventris!
Big Ank is assembled! Bringing her to @dinoconuk.bsky.social fully painted up!
Alright, first 1/20 print of Ankylosaurus magniventris is looking promising! Now just hoping all parts printed properly, this one will be the display piece for @dinoconuk.bsky.social !
This illustration is getting some more love lately, so here‘s a reminder that I‘ll be bringing some prints of it to @dinoconuk.bsky.social in July!
Weichselia reticulata, Cretaceous fern. Dusting off my SpeedTree knowledge.
The only skull work I will be bringing to @dinoconuk.bsky.social this year. Aquilops americanus, currently finalising shapes and re-working the details before I go into production! This little guy will be life sized at around 12cm in length!
This is the most anti-autism piece of cutlery I have as of yet found here.
Due to its popularity, I went back in and adjusted some proportions, mostly on the head, with some skull reference pictures in the back. I think I will work on this some more. Left new, right old.
Look who came out of the toaster just fine! I had the files already pre-cut apparently, so just set it up for printing. 1/35 scale and the scales on the head came out really nice!
Not like I have a bazillion other things to do, but... 👀 The queen herself. She is beauty, she is grace. No other specimen will ever come close to the satisfaction I get of looking at the (reconstructed, mind) silhouette of FMNH PR 2081.
Iguanodon bernissartensis in 1/35 scale assembled and squaring up to the Ankylosaurus in the same scale. :)
Still very much enjoying the wrinkles I did on this sculpt. Pose is underway for printing!
These are the results of the poll. The people have spoken! I shall set up Iguanodon next, then finish Suchomimus and finally prepare the test prints for Styracosaurus!
This is how Bluesky decided to show me your post lol
