I’ve made a little more progress this afternoon on my picture. Painting really does bring me such joy, I should do it more often! I changed the hay bales in the front of the picture to a sunflower and I think it looks much better. Art is therapy without a doubt 🥰🎨🌻💜✨

Happy Caturday from me & Lily! 😸🐾 Lily wanted her Dreamies (which she’s had & is napping) I’ve been feeling a little worn out of late, mentally & physically. It’s been a busy week here. The heat is still unrelenting, tiring. Then I see something like this Tiger Flower that appeared yesterday & it stopped me for a wonderful moment. It only lasts one day! Isn’t nature simply stunning, beautiful and amazing? Wishing you a beautiful and magickal day ✨💜🐾

A golden yellow and scarlet flower that has three large yellow petals and small patterns of scarlet blotches in the centre. Three smaller scarlet & yellow patterned petals sit in the centre along with tall golden stamen. Often called a Tiger Flower it is a member of the iris family. Also known as the Mexican Shellflower or Peacock Flower.

From sunrise to sunset it’s been another very hot day. Spent the morning in Ikea which was not the chilled place you’d expect it to be but I bought some bits & bobs I’ve wanted for a while. Mood has been a little off with regular headaches. Missing Autumn chills 🍂 Pumpkins are growing well though 🎃

Lily chilling by the pond yesterday afternoon. It was very warm and sunny but this morning we have a lot of cloud and a cool breeze. The sun is trying its best to poke through. Had a nice relaxing Caturday afternoon in the shade. Lily and Theo also enjoyed lots of shade in the garden too. We have a lot of trees around us and a big pumpkin patch growing well. Lots of bushes, flowers and shaded spots, just right for a little reading and a Caturday afternoon nap 💤 🐾

Some days it feels like I’m charging around. I don’t know why but it reminded me of this elephant picture that I painted. It now hangs on my kitchen wall. I’ve had a doctors appt, and dusted then changed the bedding. Not exactly exciting stuff but a feeling of satisfaction. Have a magickal day 💜✨

Finished off a little sketch whilst my husband is cooking dinner. Our black sunflowers inspired me to draw one on my iPad. I’ve ideas for a bigger sunflower painting one day 🤞🏼🌻 We’re celebrating 40 years today when we first met, with roast dinner, apple & blackberry pie and a couple of glasses ☺️🥂💜✨

It’s a typical day here right now of mixed weather - sunshine, rain, sunshine… So a typical start to our meteorological summertime 🫣 One of our black sunflowers started blooming a couple of days ago and I love the deep burgundy colour of it! Hope you’re having a beautiful and magickal day ✨💜🌻

Finished off my pencil sketch this morning ✍🏼😅 Going to start adding some colour next. Art is therapy, no matter what medium you use. I sometimes only have the energy to sketch on my iPad Procreate app. It’s always close to hand so is easier to pick up & draw. Have a beautiful and happy Caturday 💜😸🐾
