From discussing mental health to e-bike safety, it’s so important to give youth a space to participate in their democracy. Thank you to our amazing youth panelists, community organizations, and everyone who spent their Saturday afternoon with us! (2/2)
What incredible energy this weekend at my annual Youth Town Hall! This was my seventh year hosting this event and it remains one of my favorites. Hearing directly from young people in my district, who are already making change, always leaves me feeling inspired. (1/2)
Don saw the beauty of Tunitas Creek and believed our coast is one of our greatest shared treasures. Now, and in small part due to $5 million I helped secure in the state budget in 2018, everyone can enjoy this majestic place. (2/2)
It was amazing to be back at Tunitas Creek Beach this morning to celebrate the opening to the public of this breathtaking stretch of California coastline and the legacy and vision of former Supervisor Don Horsley. (1/2)
Due to a lack of transparency from companies, millions of parents have no idea what ingredients are in the diapers their babies wear 24/7 for the first few years of their lives. Some commonly used ingredients can be dangerous to their baby’s thinner, more sensitive skin. (1/3)
Her extraordinary legacy continues to inspire generations across California. Congratulations again, Olga, on this well-deserved recognition! (2/2)
It was an honor to once again recognize my 2026 Woman of the Year, Olga Talamante, at a local community celebration last week. A champion for human rights and social justice, Olga has dedicated her life to empowering Latina leaders and advocating for immigrant and LGBTQ+ communities. (1/2)
I am incredibly proud of our community’s generosity and thank everyone who donated and helped support community members in need. I can’t wait to do this again next year! (2/2)
Thank you to everyone who contributed to my Summer Food Drive last week! We received a literal ton of food donations, which we delivered to local food pantries throughout my district. (1/2)
If you are able, please drop off unexpired, non-perishable food items between July 13 and July 17 at my district office in Palo Alto or at the Ted Adcock Community Center in Half Moon Bay. (2/2)
As we enter the summer months, many students and families who rely on California’s universal school meal program find themselves without that critical support. Help support our community by joining me in my Summer Food Drive! (1/2)
This Independence Day, as we celebrate America's 250th year, we honor the enduring ideals of freedom, democracy, & opportunity that define our nation. Our democracy is strongest when we come together, participate, & work toward a better future for all. Stay safe & have a fantastic Fourth of July!
Thank you to all of the students, parents, educators, mental health professionals, & community members who took the time to share their experiences, ask thoughtful questions, & engage in an important conversation about how we can better support the well-being of our young people. (2/2)
Last week, I was proud to join Santa Clara County Supervisor Margaret Abe-Koga for our Youth Mental Health Town Hall in Palo Alto. Youth mental health continues to be a serious issue in our community & across the state, and we need to ensure every student has the support they need to thrive. (1/2)
It was a great afternoon in Half Moon Bay to celebrate the grand opening of the Big Wave Project! This incredible new campus will provide housing, meaningful employment, & a vibrant community for adults with disabilities. Congrats to everyone whose dedication, & generosity made this day possible.
Let the Pride Month celebrations continue! It was great to be out in my District today, celebrating Pride with the City of Mountain View and with the Avenidas Rainbow Collective in Palo Alto.
Happy Juneteenth! Today is not only a celebration of the end of slavery in our country, but of our never ending commitment to fighting all forms of injustice. Now more than ever, it is crucial that we continue to stand up for freedom and our values of equity and inclusion.
On Gun Violence Awareness Day, we recommit ourselves to ending gun violence in our communities. California continues to lead the way with commonsense gun safety laws that save thousands of lives every year. (1/2)
If California is going to meet its ambitious climate goals, we need to make the transition from fossil fuels to cleaner energy more affordable. That’s what my bill, AB 2313, does by providing homeowners with support to electrify their homes. (1/2)
We must do everything we can to prevent suicide. That’s why I authored AB 2003, to provide life-saving suicide prevention training to ensure our students, teachers, administrators, and parents have the tools necessary to support young people in need. (1/2)
Today we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives defending our freedoms. Their courage and sacrifice safeguarded the liberties we enjoy today and inspire us to never take them for granted. We remember their legacy, honor their families, and remain forever grateful.
Children’s Health Council has been a literal lifesaver for young people and their families in my district and beyond, providing mental health services, expert led learning programs, and more. (1/2)
What a fun morning with the 4th grade students of Covington School, Los Altos! It was an honor to show them the Assembly Floor, and answer some great questions from these bright students! Thank you to everyone who made the trip up to Sacramento!
It was great to welcome the 4th grade class from the Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School at the State Capitol this morning! They had great questions about our election process and my job as their Assemblymember!
On #DenimDay, we wear denim and stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual violence. Enough is enough. Sexual violence has no place in our society, and we must continue to listen to survivors, show our support, and enact change.
Unfortunately California is facing a youth mental health crisis, but resources like allcove youth mental health centers provide vital care and services to support young people across the state. (1/2)
Not only will it protect against sea level rise and flooding, it will enhance the habitat for native species, improve recreational opportunities, and improve water quality from the Waste Water Treatment Plant into the Bay. (2/2)
This morning I toured the Palo Alto Horizontal Levee project with @savesfbay.bsky.social & partners. (1/2)
I celebrated Earth Month by hosting a Trail Talk this weekend at Shoreline Park in Mountain View! It was great to connect with constituents in a more low-key way, learn a lot about ecological efforts in the district, get some steps in & mostly avoid the rain. A fun morning & a great time had by all!
A great community coffee in Portola Valley this morning. I always appreciate our conversations on issues important to our communities and how we can find real solutions. Thank you to everyone who braved the rain to join us!
