i always come back to this dialogue as a little microcosm of the show's thesis. it sounds like stede is saying something ridiculously naive and stupid that's going to get everyone killed and by the end you see he was 100% right. getting rid of gunpowder to make room for marmalade was the right call.

ok so what gets me is how the first image is clearly taika cosplaying as ed and the second one is taika visibly in character as ed, despite the fact that he doesn't have the wig or tats in either pic and you can't see his facial expression in the second

honestly i maintain that the s1 "the fuck are you doing with your head between my legs" when he's trying to get ed out of the harness is just not how you react to someone whose head's been between your legs before
