So I did some testing in Safari and it's not the fonts. It's gotta be something to do with Windows/Android/Linux' text renderers, or a bug with Bluesky that doesn't appear on Apple platforms. This is so weird… The first 2 are yours, last is mine. First one looks different in the app.

On February 9th, Discord staff announced a change to enforce age-restriction and age verification through a new Teen by Default policy worldwide. [ link ]

However, this comes just months after Discord's own support partners had been found to have been breached, with over 70,000 images of identifying documents used for age verification stolen. [ link ]

This new policy puts all of-age users at risk of identity theft.

Despite Discord's claims that “Identity documents submitted to our vendor partners are deleted quickly— in most cases, immediately after age confirmation.”, this has already been proven false.

In many cases, generally, data submitted to third parties is never truly deleted anyhow — it's common knowledge data is flagged in a system and left to rot until there's need for space. This creates a window of time when data remains on the server “post-deletion”.

Age verification should be handled at the government level by government systems tasked with age verification. Many modern forms of identification already have barcodes or identifying numbers which the government already uses to identify and age users.

Private platforms should never request access to sensitive documentation online.

This policy inherently makes all uses of Discord less safe.

Please reverse this decision at this current time.

Big mood. T'was always one of my favs. With a bit of customization, it has once again become one of my mains. :P
