That's a funny way of saying they kicked out transgender members. Little trans girl scouts can't be scouting because the organisation would collapse under litigation funded by a deep pocketed billionaire. Long-standing members of the WI, leave because we can't afford to fight. Cruel. Evil.

Many organisations have already made changes they say comply with the law and are in line with the code, such as the Women's Institute and Girl Guiding, which had already said membership was for females.

I took a mh day trail running in the mountains and oh my…. It’s been exceptionally wet in Southern Spain and it’s so green right now.

There is a temptation, particularly in contemporary political discourse, to treat this as a story of hypocrisy. Yet hypocrisy is a moral category, and moral categories, while rhetorically satisfying, are analytically weak. What matters here is not whether an individual lived up to the image constructed around him, but how the social and intellectual environment of elite institutions normalised relationships that would appear untenable outside them. These documents do not expose a fall from grace, they expose a continuity. They reveal how intellectuals participate in the circulation of legitimacy, how they are themselves instrumentalised by others seeking it, and how the reputational economy of academia allows such exchanges to remain unremarkable until a leak complies public scrutiny.

I have just signed up to my first Ultra Marathon race across the Dava Moor! I shall not be fast. It's in November so that might be interesting in itself haha! The Dava way is in the North of Scotland, so yeah.

A 'SUMMIT' sign - 1052 feet, so not super impressive - on what looks like an expansive moor with patches of purple heather and a shrubby green bush. Sun-bleached wooden poles give the impression of a fence, but it's had better days.

I ran a whole ass marathon yesterday. And the tide was so high that I couldn't run on one of my favourite stretches along the salt marsh. But I did it!

There's a Massive fire on the moors in Northern Scotland. My local kirk is on a wee hill so we can see the doom approaching. Considerate of our forebears.

Interesting that the worry is that it’ll hurt their legitimacy to keep the occupation going. Let’s not be too mad dog killing everyone because if we kill fewer people a bit less cruelly we get to keep doing it longer - the moral aspect.
