My friends and I have been using this app called Roost to send messages to each other and the way it works is you use birds or snails or turtles to send messages so they take an extended period of time to arrive (hours or days or months) and anyway I’ve been role playing a medieval man named Alfred

a work in progress painting of a concept design for a warhammer space marine chapter/faction. The space marine's armor is a chromatic plum and deep bloody red coloration with oxidation, rust, and texture with a bright red shiny highlight and luminous golden accents. Paints of alchemical symbols decorate the armor; one symbol for gold, one for rot, one for verdigris, one for amalgamation, and one for sulfur. The space marine holds a large rusty copper hammer in their right hand, and holds a chain leash in their other that is tethered to an amalgamated beastly creature that has numerous limbs of varying size and mutatedness. It has a gaping maw of teeth and it has a facial shape that looks somewhat like a distended human skull. The hammer is covered in blood as though the space marine just finished pummelling something to death.

Got a close look at a very pretty pileated woodpecker today as it gathered some stuff from the ground. Not sure if it has a nest or what but it was fun to watch it gathering more and more stuff in its beak.
