Death wave spell. I quite like this style of FX animations that use only few sprite frames + transformations + simple particle systems. No transparency as well.
Turned out to be very easy. Sometimes I like Electron platform a lot.
Working on adding some individuality to the heroes with bios and specializations.
My custom map generation algorithm for Master of Luna step-by-step: 1...5: player and neutral towns; 6...13: land and water; 14...16: monster lairs; 17...20: forests, mountains and swamps.
Basic map generation. Looks like not much, but the actual algorithm turned out to be quite sophisticated.
I really like my tooltips. Dark background, vibrant pixelated icons, crisp text. There's something pleasant about all this.
When a hero in Master of Luna level up, they are not learning something new, but recalling experience from their past lives instead.
Hi there! I'm making Master of Luna, a turn-based 4x strategy game with powerful magic, tactical battles, city building, sweet pixel art and a calm melancholic atmosphere. It's mostly a solo project. Play the demo and wishlist the game on Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/2393510
You should make it so up and down navigate the menu and left and right change the values. Replace checkbox with on/off toggle. Selected item should be clearly visible. Sliders should not be a problem, gamepad oriented option menus use them for ages.
My first attempt at gamedev back from 2017. It took me about a year to build this in Unity. It was supposed to be Binding of Isaac inspired roguelike with magic and light base building. Turned out, I don't really have anything new to say in this genre, so I stopped the development.
The first combat mock and how it's looking right now. Feel kinda bad for ditching this grass texture, but there were few good reasons for this.
Sometimes the length of the search can be pretty extreme. Air Elemental is the worst offender here.
How hydra was made. I adore all kinds of art process things, too bad not many artists post them.
